Holy Family students, teachers support Walk for Juvenile Diabetes

Luke is an energetic, adventurous fourth grader at Holy Family Catholic School in Shorewood. As a second-grader, Luke was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes.

While Luke manages this health issue daily, it hasn't slowed him down. His teachers and classmates recently joined him to raise money for this important cause.

On October 6th, Luke's third-grade teacher, Mrs. Rebus, his current fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Jeriha, and nine other fourth-graders from Holy Family participated in the walk for juvenile diabetes with Luke.

His team raised over $6,000 for the cause.

If you would like to make a contribution to Luke's team, 'Luke's Legion', please visit http://www2.jdrf.org/goto/lukeslegion.

Funds raised will support efforts to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
