Arlington Heights police: Stab wounds self-inflicted

Arlington Heights police said multiple stab wounds a man suffered in a village residence early Monday were self-inflicted.

The Arlington Heights Fire Department responded to a home on the 1500 block of West Concord Drive about 8:30 a.m. for a report of a man with multiple stab wounds, officials confirmed.

The man was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police Sgt. Rick Kappelman said, where he is in stable but critical condition and will be treated for depression.

There is no danger to the neighborhood, police said.
