A Naperville teenager was killed early Monday morning when the stolen car he was riding in struck a fire station in Indianapolis during a police chase, Indiana police said.
Two 16-year-old boys, who were patients at a rehab facility in Bloomington, Ill., stole a vehicle in Illinois and a chase began in Brownsburg that ended on the north side of Indianapolis, according to Brownsburg Police Department Detective Jennifer Pyatt-Barrett.
The teen, who has not yet been identified, died of his injuries on the way to a nearby hospital.
Police say the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was in stable condition at the hospital.
