Wheeling wine, spirits and beer fest Nov. 6
The Liquor Barn in Wheeling is hosting the “Wheeling Wine, Spirits, and Beer Holiday Fest” on Wednesday, Nov. 6 to benefit Sunshine Kids, an organization dedicated to providing positive group activities and emotional support for young cancer patients.
The event, which takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at Chevy Chase Country Club, 1000 North Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, will feature over 150 exclusive wines, 150 spirits, and over 150 different craft beers from more than 30 vendors. There also will be a buffet menu including a carving station with beef, roasted turkey, bacon-wrapped scallops, artichoke bottoms, Italian sausage puff pastries, as well assorted dips, cheeses, and fresh vegetables. Food has been selected to pair well with different beverages and professionally prepared at the event.
Entertainment includes live music from several violinists. There also will be a silent auction featuring a Muhammad Ali/Joe Frazier double signed red Everlast leather boxing glove, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers autographed footballs, a “Rat Pack” tribute signed by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., and more than a half dozen other works all with certificates of authenticity.
Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door, which include unlimited food, wine, spirits, and beer. The event is limited to 500 guests. No one under age 21 will be admitted.
