Daily Herald report

The Lake County Farm Bureau, 70 Route 45, Grayslake, will serve as a drop off location for the Toys for Tots program through Friday, Dec. 13. Residents are asked to support the annual charitable project by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy ranging in price from $1 to $100 for needy children. Monetary donations for the program also are welcome. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program has campaigns in more than 450 communities across the country. It is the Corps' premier community action program and the only charitable endeavor within the Department of Defense that reaches outside the military establishment. Call (847) 223-6506 or email
