Christian Liberty makes 2A sectional semis

Christian Liberty took a class hike into the Class 2A girls volleyball tournament this year.

The Chargers proved they were the class of their regional on Thursday night.

With Vivian Barclay and Cassie Swiderek leading the attack and getting their cues from setter Jenna Pavlik, the Chargers (24-11) defeated Woodlands Academy 24-26, 25-20, 25-15 for the championship of the Willows Academy regional in Des Plaines.

Christian Liberty faces Oregon in the South Beloit sectional on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
