Youth baseball registration:


Registration for Lake Villa Township Baseball's 2014 season begins Friday, Nov. 1. Parents are urged to register their child at lvtb.org. The cost is $155 for children in T-ball, $165 for Pinto baseball and softball, $180 for Mustang baseball and softball, $190 for players in Bronco baseball or softball, and $200 for Pony baseball and softball. People who register a player before Jan. 1 receive a $25 discount. New bat restrictions are also in place for the upcoming seasons. All bats must have the new USSSA stamp on its taper or be a wooden bat. Officials completed park improvements at the Lake Villa Township Baseball Park on Grass Lake Road, including new infields on two of four diamonds and new safety nets.
