Actor D.B. Sweeney to lead Q&A in Rosemont Friday

By Dann Gire

Actor D.B. Sweeney will visit the Muvico 18 Rosemont Theaters Friday, Nov. 1, to conduct a Q&A with fans following the screening of his new movie "Underdogs."

The sports drama, in the vein of "Friday Night Lights" and "The Blind Side," is based on the true story of a high-school football team no one expected to succeed. Sweeney plays DeAntonio, a down-on-his-luck coach who sees great potential in a losing team in Canton, Ohio. Former football superstar "Broadway" Joe Namath also appears in the movie.

"Underdogs" will be screened at 7:50 p.m. at Muvico, 9701 Bryn Mawr Ave, Rosemont. Sweeney is expected to address the audience and answer questions at 9:45 p.m.

The movie, rated PG with a running time of 103 minutes, will open this weekend at the Muvico. For details, visitfacebook.com/UnderdogsTheMovie or muvico.com.
