The Chicago Blackhawks will visit President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday to celebrate their second Stanley Cup title in four seasons.

The Blackhawks will begin the day with a visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to spend time with wounded soldiers and thank them for their service.

"It's a cool day. I think everybody gets to enjoy the day," coach Joel Quenneville said before the Blackhawks hosted the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night. "Get to go to Walter Reed in the morning as well. That was a fun visit when we look back. We ran into wounded warriors a couple times.

"Yeah, but when you get to the White House it's kind of a nice setting. I think it will be one more reflection of a pretty special year for us all."

The Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins in six games in June to secure their fifth NHL title in franchise history.
