Grayslake’s St. Andrew Episcopal to have coats for children in need

St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Grayslake plans to give away coats to children in need.

Coats will be available through the church’s Elijah’s Mantle organization from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. St. Andrew is at 31 Park Ave. in downtown Grayslake.

Coats will be given away to children from newborn through high school ages.

Elijah’s Mantle is known as the church’s children’s clothing closet. Since May 2004, hundreds of families in central Lake County have received clothing for their children at no cost.

There are no eligibility requirements for Elijah’s Mantle. Anyone who needs help with clothing for their children is welcome to shop at the store.

Neither identification nor proof of income is required to receive a donation.

Elijah’s Mantle has a high demand for school-age children’s clothing, especially for boys. Donations are accepted and should be gently used sizes infant through 16.
