Daily Herald report

A Mount Prospect gas station sold a grand-prize winning ticket for the Wednesday evening Lucky Day Lotto drawing, meaning someone in the area could be $150,000 richer. The winner, who has not come forward as of Thursday afternoon, bought the winning Quick Pick ticket at Zervos Shell, 1050 E. Northwest Hwy., and matched all five numbers -- 5, 18, 25, 30 and 31 -- in the Oct. 23 evening drawing. Zervos Shell will receive a bonus of $1,500, or 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket. Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week with an average of over 40,000 winners every day. For information, visit
