Rams bring in two more QBs

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams have signed Brady Quinn and Austin Davis, quickly adding quarterbacks after losing Sam Bradford to a season-ending left knee injury.

Kellen Clemens, the backup the past two years, will make his first start since 2011 on Monday night against the Seahawks.

Quinn was a first-round pick by the Browns in 2007. He has bounced around and cut by the Jets on Monday.

Davis was among the Rams’ final cuts before the opener. He was the third-stringer for St. Louis last year and did not play.

Bradford, who had started every game since the start of the 2012 season, was placed on injured reserve. He injured his knee in the fourth quarter Sunday in a loss at Carolina and is expected to undergo surgery in a few weeks when swelling subsides.

Offensive lineman Brandon Washington was released to clear roster space. Also, linebacker Jonathan Stewart was released from the practice squad.
