Burlington Central 8, Sandwich 0: Sean Fitzgerald, Alan Camarena and Nate McMahon each scored twice for the Rockets (20-2) as they tied the school record for wins in a season with this victory in the semifinals of the Class 3A Sycamore regional. Matt O’Connor and Paolo Sespene also added goals for BC, while O’Connor and Stefan Jochum each had 2 assists, with Camarena and AJ Gouriotis adding one each. Brett Rau was in goal but not called on to make any saves. Top-seeded Central will play Friday at 4 p.m. in the regional championship game against the winner of today’s game between No. 2 Kaneland and No. 3 Sycamore.

McHenry 1, Jacobs 0: Jacobs saw its season come to an end with an overtime loss to McHenry at the Class 3A Crystal Lake South regional.
