Marquette freshman out with leg injury

MILWAUKEE — Marquette freshman guard Duane Wilson has a stress fracture in his left leg and will miss the start of the season.

The school made the announcement Monday. Marquette says Wilson is expected to miss several weeks.

Wilson was a consensus top-100 recruit as a senior at Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay and helped lead the team to the Wisconsin state championship as a senior in 2012-13.

Wilson is the second player Marquette has lost in a week. Junior forward Jameel McKay left the Golden Eagles last week.
