St. Viator steps up, wins on senior night

St. Viator's girls volleyball team improved to 18-15 with a 25-12, 25-12 victory over Trinity on senior night at the Cahill Gymnasium in Arlington Heights.

Seniors Mary Cleary (10 kills), Megan Mueller (4) and Molly Ziegler (2) led the Lions' attack which was set by Ziegler who had 19 assists.

Senior Jenny Brandt had 5 blocks while classmates Kristin Yi and Kristen Abrahamson led the defense with 7 digs apiece, followed by Cleary (6), Ziegler (5) and Mueller (5).

Glenbrook North d. Maine West: The host Warriors dropped a Central Suburban North matchup to fall to 15-18 overall and 4-5 in the division.

Allison Grzebien had 3 kills, Kassidy Riportella had 2 service points and 6 assists and Brittany Collins contributed 2 service points, a 1 kill and an ace for the Warriors.
