Can’t something be done about skunks?
Arlington Heights stinks. And so do many Chicago area suburbs.
I’m talking about skunks. The skunk problem in the suburbs has been growing over the last few years.
The smell is so bad that we can’t leave our windows open at night for fresh air. We have to shut them and turn on the air. We can’t walk after dusk because of the smell. You can’t drive more than a block without that awful smell and having to dodge dead skunks laying in the street.
Complaints to the village will only get you a list of ways to not attract skunks, like “don’t leave dog food outside.”
This is a real village-level problem. The Village of Arlington Heights needs to get together with the other towns in the area and come up with a plan to control the skunk population and then do it.
