Alexian Brothers Health System honored by Park District

The Schaumburg Park District Board of Commissioners at its Oct. 17 meeting recognized Alexian Brothers Health System for being an outstanding 50th anniversary partner.

Alexian Brothers Health System, a provider of medical care, health support and wellness programs in the Schaumburg area, has supported the District as a Park Partner since 2003.

The health system is an integral part of many District programs including the annual triathlon and duathlon, Home Run 5K, Employee Fitness Walk, 5K Chilly Chili Race, Silver Games and family fun nights. Alexian Brothers supports active fitness and athletic opportunities for District residents of all ages through Fitness Unlimited and Club 55 classes and indoor and outdoor athletics programs. Alexian Brothers also supports the importance of parks and the outdoors to quality of life through commitment to walking and biking trails throughout the park system.

Schaumburg Park District Park Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Drive. The District honors an organization each month during its 50th anniversary.
