Get uninsured drivers off the road
A recent Daily Herald editorial served as a reminder to use seat belts after four people were ejected and killed in a tragic I-290 rollover in Addison. Again, the Herald skipped the issue of undocumented driver — no license, no insurance, no registration of the SUV that was used daily to deliver other undocumented people to jobs. The driver should not have been here, let alone breaking our laws, in the first place.
I pay extra for my auto insurance to cover uninsured motorists. Enough is enough. Start with roadside checks and tow cars, arrest those who break the laws. Maybe that would help get this state out of the money mess we are in.
