Grayslake Central shuts out Hampshire

Joey Mudd netted a pair of goals, as Grayslake Central’s boys soccer team shut out host Hampshire 3-0 in its Fox Valley Conference Fox Division finale Thursday night.

Steven Anderson also scored, while Leo Orozco had 2 assists for Grayslake Central (14-2-2, 6-0), which clinched the FVC Fox championship Tuesday.

Evanston 3, Warren 2: Karl Bappert scored both goals for the Blue Devils (10-5-7) in the nonconference match.

Huntley 4, Vernon Hills 0: Eduardo Gonzalez scored twice, and Niko Mihalpoulos had a goal and 2 assists, as the Red Raiders hit the 20-win mark.

Huntley (20-2-1) led 3-0 at halftime.

Stevenson 0, New Trier 0: Jeremy Klaber made 11 saves in goal, as Stevenson earned a draw in the nonconference match.
