Model train display:

The Grayslake Heritage Center & Museum will host a limited engagement model railroad display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. The display, created by 12-year-old Grayslake resident Omar Rasidagic, features G, HO and N gauge trains, a vintage 1940s O gauge set, plus LEGO trains and Thomas the Tank Engine. Rasidagic is asking visitors to his display to consider bringing a nonperishable food item or to make a donation to the Lake County Food Pantry. The museum is at 164 Hawley St., Grayslake.
