The Burlington Central boys soccer team closed out the Big Northern East season with an undefeated championship Wednesday when the Rockets shut out Richmond-Burton 4-0 at Rocket Hill.

It's the first time the Rockets have gone undefeated in conference play.

"Senior night victories are always great," said BC coach Mike Gecan.

Paolo Sespene, Sean Fitzgerald, Matt O'Connor and Brett Rau scored goals for BC (19-2, 12-0) and Ryan DeTamble and Jose Uribe added assists.

Nikola Filipac was in goal for Central and made 1 save.

Elgin 4, East Aurora 0: Eric Whiteman, Edgar Zavala, Daniel Geary and Anthony Rodriguez had goals for the Maroons (8-10-4) in their Upstate Eight crossover win. Zach Erickson, Whiteman and Rodriguez each had assists and Eleno Montes made 11 saves.

Larkin 0, St. Francis 0: Aldair Dominguez had 1 save for the Royals (8-10-4) in this nonconference tie.

Huntley 3, Grayslake North 0: Eduardo Gonzalez scored twice and Niko Mihalopoulos added a goal to lead the Red Raiders (19-2-1) to a Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Matt Kitsis and Reyman Solis had assists, while Austen Emery registered the shutout with 5 saves.
