All 5 Libertyville Dist. 70 schools win attendance awards

All five Libertyville Elementary District 70 schools ranked in the top 10 for the 25th Annual Lake County Elementary School Fall Attendance Week.

Ranking in the number one slot for Large Elementary Schools was Highland Middle School – for the third year in a row. Highland nabbed the first place spot with an amazing attendance of 99.76 percent for the school with an enrollment of 963 students.

Butterfield School ranked third in the Medium Elementary School category with 98 percent enrollment attending from a student population of 532.

Copeland Manor School also ranked third in the Small Elementary Schools section with 98.60 percent attendance out of an enrollment of 397 students. Coming in right behind Copeland Manor is Rockland School in fourth place with 98.40 percent attendance for a student population of 286. Adler Park School rounded out the Small Elementary Schools section in 10th place with an attendance rate of 98.07 percent for a student enrollment of 261.

All Lake County elementary schools are eligible to be recognized by the Regional School Superintendent for attendance week, which ran from Sept. 9-13 this year. This year, 112 schools participated with 82,889 students throughout the county. The Top Ten Award Ceremony was held on Sept. 30 to honor the students, with District 70 schools each taking along students to receive the awards and enjoy a celebratory luncheon.
