Senior Victoria Phipps fired an 84 Monday at the Class A Freeport Aquin sectional to lead Rosary’s girls golf team to a berth in this weekend’s state tournament.

Richmond-Burton won the sectional with a 363, and Byron’s 394 was good for second.

The Royals’ other counting scores came from sophomore Morgan Martinez at 97, senior Annika Strolle at 108 and junior Jenna Streich at 110.

IMSA’s Elise Douglas shot an 84 to grab one of the individual state berths. Aurora Central Catholic’s Amber Weaver shot a 94 to tie for the 10th individual spot but lost the playoff on the first hole.
