Batavia quarry beach on parks agenda

The Batavia park board is expected to discuss how the Harold Hall Quarry Beach fared this summer.

The park board will receive a report on quarry operations at 7 p.m. Tuesday at district headquarters, 327 W. Wilson St.

The facility is a former stone quarry owned by the district. It features a sand bottom swimming area covering 60,000 square feet that includes islands, slides, and a diving area. Amenities include a large playground, volleyball courts, picnic tables and concession area.
