The village of Hawthorn Woods is seeking community input on a revised comprehensive plan from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at village hall, 2 Lagoon Drive. Working with the consulting firm Houseal Lavigne Associates, the village wants to develop a new comprehensive plan to serve as the official guide for land use, physical improvement, and investment. The plan is intended to serve as a "road map" for the next 10 to 15 years. Topics include land use and development, annexation and growth areas, transportation and mobility, open space and environmental features, community facilities, image and identity, and hazard mitigation.
