Story-character fair in Aurora to support charity dental care for kids
Visit with your favorite fairy-tale characters, while helping provide free dental care to children, at the “Character Fair” Saturday at Rosary High School in Aurora.
The fundraising event is from 10 a.m. to noon at the school, 901 Edgelawn Drive.
Game cards are $5 each. There will also be a raffle.
The event features fun-fair-style games. The game cards are good for 12 activities, and unlimited photographs and autographs with the story characters.
Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Mad Hatter, Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs and more will be there.
“The funds raised at the Character Fair will provide much needed dental care for local children from low-income households at no cost to their family,” said Madelyn Weed of Sugar Grove, fundraising co-chairman for Aurora Children’s Dental Service, in a prepared statement. “The organization works together with generous local dentists, to provide critical dental care and procedures with life-altering results and a smile.”
Raffle items include a one-week stay at a condominium in Florida, sporting-event tickets and electronics and gift baskets (winners need not be present).
The Rosary Fine Arts Boosters will sell snacks.
The Aurora Children’s Dental Service is a nonprofit organization that has been providing free dental care to children throughout the Fox Valley since 1954.
