Schaumburg man pleads guilty to Olympic Park burglary

A Cook County judge sentenced a 44-year-old Schaumburg man to six years in prison in exchange for his guilty plea to burglary, court records show.

Daniel Anthony O’Shea pleaded guilty to breaking into a vehicle near Olympic Park, 1675 E. Old Schaumburg Road, on April 21. He was sentenced Thursday.

Police say O’Shea broke a car window and removed a purse that had been left in the back seat. Police observed O’Shea in the park and followed him to his home where they arrested him.

O’Shea received credit for 173 days in custody. The judge also ordered him to pay $704 in fines, according to records.
