LifeSource, Six Flags Great America team up to save lives

Halloween is a “fright-filled” season, and LifeSource is teaming up with Six Flags Great America to scare up blood donors to support area lives.

“Our friends at Six Flags not only rolled up their sleeves on Oct. 1 to donate, but they’re also thanking our donors by offering discounted Fright Fest tickets,” says LifeSource Chief Operating Officer Jim Fitzgerald.

“Together, we’re asking the community to be the giving type by donating blood and supporting life.”

Participating blood donors at select LifeSource Donor Centers Oct. 12–16 will receive a coupon to purchase up to four Six Flags tickets at $20 off the general admission price. The coupon is redeemable at Six Flags Great America through Oct. 27, when its 100-acre theme park in Gurnee will be transformed into a fog-filled land of shadows, ghosts and ghouls.

“LifeSource has been a great partner to us, so this is one way that we can help them to fulfill their vital mission,” says Katy Enrique, communications manager of Six Flags Great America.

Participating LifeSource Donor Centers include: Arlington Heights, 25 W. Rand Road; Glenview, 2510 Waukegan Road; Gurnee, 5250-1 Grand Ave.; Lake Bluff, 223 Waukegan Road; Lincoln Park, 1523 W. Fullerton; Naperville, 2764 Aurora Ave.; and Norridge, 5050 N. Cumberland Ave.

Donating blood is fast, easy and supports lives. For more information, including donor center hours, call (877) 543- 3768 or visit www.lifesource.org.
