Fox Valley Rep Talent Contest Teen Winner Madysen Simanonis to perform at “Rockin' at The Roundhouse”
Fox Valley Repertory is proud to have young musical theater singer and actor Madysen Simanonis to sing her winning performance at Fox Valley Rep's “Rockin at The Roundhouse” fundraiser party on October 20, 2013 at 4-7:30pm. This annual event is a family-friendly celebration at Two Brothers Roundhouse (Aurora) in support of the nonprofit theater company's year-round theater productions, educational programming, and providing student scholarships for those in-need.
Thirteen-year-old Madysen Simanonis from Winfield won Fox Valley Rep's “Got Talent?” teen division this past June with her beautiful performance of The Little Mermaid's “Part of This World.” She is an FVR Performing Arts Academy student who has progressed to professional roles, including FVR's “It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” under the direction of Rachel Rockwell. She will also be seen this holiday season with Broadway in Chicago in “Rudolf.”
“When I started my first show at Fox Valley Rep, I never imagined that it would've brought me to where I am now and I can't thank them enough for that,” says Mady. “They have helped me grow as an actor/singer and take bigger steps towards my goal of becoming a professional stage performer. I am looking forward to my upcoming performance at this fun event."
Actress Stephanie Herman from Fox Valley Rep's hit musicals “Breaking Up is Hard To Do” and “Why Do Fools Fall in Love?” will also be in attendance for a special performance.
Along with these special performances, the event will include live music from Hooked on Sonics, dinner, dancing, games for the whole family, and drinks featured by Two Brothers Brewing. Costumes are optional and prizes will be awarded during the Costume Contest.
Silent auction items include: an all-inclusive trip to Cancun from Fox Valley Travel, Walt Disney World 4 One-Day Park Hopper passes, tickets to Blue Man Group, local restaurant gift certificates, and much more.
Ticket prices are $50 for adults and $30 for students (under 19).
