Miller Road bridge opening delayed:

The opening of the Miller Road bridge will be delayed from Oct. 19 to Oct. 26 due to flooding in the work area and unforeseen circumstances related to ground conditions. Miller Road, from Glen Circle Drive to Biltmore Drive just east of Route 59, was closed July 22 to install the bridge to alleviate road flooding, as well as road resurfacing, construction of a retaining wall and the installation of curb and gutter, guardrails and drainage, The posted detour will continue to use Route 59 to Route 22 to Route 12. Resurfacing Route 22 within the detour limits will be deferred until after Miller Road reopens. The completion date for the Miller Road project is Nov. 30, meaning remaining work will be completed with one-lane traffic using flaggers as necessary during daytime hours.
