West Dundee, in conjunction with the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce, is trying to recognize volunteers by creating the West Dundee Community Service Award. You have until Friday, Oct. 4, to submit nomination forms.
The program offers the village a chance to recognize those who make West Dundee a better place to live through their hard work.
Residents are invited to submit nominations; you'll find the nomination form at www.wdundee.org.
The basic criteria includes length of service to the community, the legacy created, and the enhancement and the impact on West Dundee.
Please submit the forms to Village President Chris Nelson. He, along with a small committee, will select three nominees and an eventual winner.
The awards ceremony is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 during a reception and cocktail hour at Randall Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Center. For more information, visit www.wdundee.org.
