Girls volleyball/Fox Valley roundup

Renee Rush, Katie Innis and Adriana Loiacono each had 4 kills Tuesday to lead the South Elgin girls volleyball team to an easy 25-10, 25-10 Upstate Eight Valley win over East Aurora.

Rush and Jessica Olsen added 6 digs each for the Storm (10-8, 2-1) and Loiacono had 5. Jessica Donzelli dished out 13 assists for the winners.

Harvest Christian d. Luther North: Sydney Doby had 7 kills and 7 aces and Ellie Burzlaff added 4 aces to lead the Lions to a 25-4, 25-7 Northeastern Athletic Conference win. Shayna Manusos (5 aces, 2 digs) and Jade Martinez (10 assists) also contributed for Harvest (9-6, 5-1).

Prairie Ridge d. Huntley: Emily Westermeyer had 8 kills and 10 digs and Rachel Shores added 15 digs for Huntley in a 16-25, 25-21, 25-20 Fox Valley Conference Valley Division loss. Erin Erb (6 kills) and Kelsey DeWulf (25 assists, 8 digs, 3 kills) also contributed for the Red Raiders (9-4, 4-2).

St. Charles East d. Streamwood: Kaitlyn Hedger (2 kills) and Andrea Prytulak (2 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs) led Streamwood in a 25-9, 25-15 Upstate Eight River loss.

Cary-Grove d. McHenry: Kaylie Trausch had 8 kills and 3 blocks and Meghan Seymour 13 assists to lead the Trojans (11-8, 5-2) to a 25-15, 25-19 FVC Valley win.

Burlington Central d. North Boone: Makenna Jensen (9 kills), Caitlin Siebert (6 aces) and Allie O'Reilly (11 digs, 2 aces) led the Rockets to a 25-4, 25-9 Big Northern East victory. Jane Collins (6 kills), Jenna Schudel (5 kills), Maddy Barry (9 assists) and Mackenzie Whitner (12 assists) also contributed for BC (12-7, 6-0).

Hampshire d. Woodstock North: Caitlin Conlon had 7 kills, Julianna Gass 10 digs and Brittany Laffin 17 assists as Hampshire won 25-13, 25-14 in the FVC Fox. Erin Foss and Kyla Conway added 5 kills each for the Whip-Purs.
