Lakes clinches in Prairie

Jon Borzick scored twice, as Lakes’ boys soccer team clinched the North Suburban Conference Prairie Division championship with a 4-1 win over Wauconda on Tuesday night.

Brian Werchek added a goal and an assist for Lakes (8-6, 4-0), which owns the head-to-head tiebreaker with Round Lake (4-1).

Round Lake 2, Vernon Hills 0: Adis Sator and Jose Martinez combined for 16 saves in net for the Panthers in the North Suburban Prairie Division game.

Raul Albor and Cesar Garcia scored in the second half for Round Lake (4-1 NSC Prairie). Fernando Sotelo had an assist.

Antioch 2, Grant 1: Iven Hernandez and Thomas Furlong scored second-half goals for the Sequoits in the North Suburban Prairie match.

Krystian Streit and JR Lonergan earned assists for Antioch (12-4-2, 2-2-1).

Grant led 1-0 at halftime thanks to a goal by Omar Valadez.

Lake Forest 5, Zion-Benton 0: John O’Connor had 2 goals for the Scouts, who improved to 8-5-1 and 3-1 in the North Suburban Lake.

Hunter Moore, Robert Schyns and Max Foster also scored.

Grayslake Central 3, Woodstock North 0: Joey Mudd scored a pair of goals for the Rams in the Fox Valley Fox contest.

Grayslake North 3, Woodstock 0: The Knights received 2 goals from Lucas Buckels to win the Fox Valley Fox game.
