Bartlett police make arrest in salon burglaries

A Bartlett man suspected of burglarizing two local salons last month is in custody, police announced Tuesday.

Jason D. Knickrehm, 36, of the 200 block of Morse Avenue, was arrested Monday by Bartlett police, authorities said. He faces two felony counts of burglary in connection with the Aug. 21 break-ins of two salons near Oak and North avenues.

Knickrehm also was facing a pending unlawful use of a weapon charge at the time of his arrest, police said. A judge remanded him into custody Tuesday for violating the conditions of his original bond and ordered a $75,000 bond on the new charges. He remained in custody Tuesday at the Cook County jail awaiting an Oct. 29 court date.
