Dana Gattone did it again.
The talented St. Viator senior defended her East Suburban Catholic Conference individual championship by shooting a 73 at the par 72 Village Greens Golf Course in Woodridge on Monday.
Gattone's round helped the Lions to a score of 349, second only to team champion Carmel which shot a season-best 344 for its first ESCC crown since 2002.
The Corsairs, who went 9-0 in regular-season conference matches, were led by sophomore Kayla Ryan (81), the meet runner-up to Gattone, an Illinois recruit.
Providence (360) took third place followed by Marian Catholic (372), Marist (379), Benet (385), Fenwick (391), Nazareth (393), Joliet Catholic (478) and Bishop McNamara.
