Planning for Dist. 214 special needs students

DIRECTIONS, a postsecondary planning event for students with special needs, will be held Tuesday at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights.

Many four-year colleges, universities, and postsecondary institutions will be available to distribute literature and discuss their program in detail. Family members can also attend four breakout sessions — Career Training, 4-year Colleges/Universities, Life Skills Training, and Community College options.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. and the college and career fair will start at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. The evening is dedicated to assisting families as they begin their investigation into the many postsecondary opportunities available to young adults with special needs.
