Palatine pulls out win against Fremd

Palatine d. Fremd: It was a close call, but Palatine's Mid-Suburban League winning streak is still alive.


The Pirates turned back a strong challenge from Fremd to win 26-31 at Harper College.

Graham Brown, Argeni Bailon and Emil Kozakiewicz provided a 1-3-5 finish for Palatine, while Nick Winter, Nick Vucovich and Nick Macius went 2-4-6 for the Vikings.

Prospect d. Elk Grove: Blake Hallman, Mike Anderson and Ben Peterson finished 1-2-3 to top the host Grenadiers. Elk Grove's top finish came from Sean Frintner in third.

Hersey d. Rolling Meadows: The Huskies, led by junior David Rodriguez, packed in the top four finishers in a 16-46 victory at Melas Park.

Conant d. Hoffman Estates: Zach Dale was out in front, finish in 15:40 over a 3-mile course against visiting Hoffman Estates as the Cougars won 20-37. Shiv Patel had a fourth-place finish for Hoffman Estates.
