Prospect produces against Barrington

In a matchup of two Mid-Suburban League boys golf heavyweights, score a big victory for Prospect.

The Knights had the medalist in junior Grant Gavin (34) and also got stellar scores from Ralph Tenuta (35), Josh Johnson (37) and Reid Dahlstrom (38) to shoot 144 and earned a victory over Barrington (155).

The Broncos were led by a 36 from Tim Lim and a 37 from Tom Calbi.

• Brandon Tudor shot 40 and Miguel Go and Jeff Barrash had 41s to help Schaumburg edge Elk Grove 168-172. Scott Furlong and Matt Smalley had the top efforts for Elk Grove at 42.

• Buffalo Grove edged Conant by a single stroke, 163-164, on the front nine at Bridges of Poplar Creek.

Matt Froemming shot 37 and Brandon Matchen 38 to lead the bison. Christian Dorman had Conant's low score, 39.

• Rolling Meadows' Jimmy Ingolia and Hersey's Kenny Mleko both shot 42, but the Mustangs' Sean Behrens and Gino Tunzi had 43s to help Meadows edge Hersey 175-178 at Old Orchard.

• Burke Barsamian (36) and Tom Calbi (37) had the low scores to lead Barrington past Elk Grove 151-177 at par-35 Fox Run on Wednesday. Scott Furlong (42) was low man for the Grens.
