Elgin

타 Myron L. Cole Jr., 23, of the 300 block of Walnut Avenue; and Aaron Washington, 19, of the 100 block of North Gifford Street, both of Elgin, were charged Monday with mob action, according to a police report. They participated in a large fight Aug. 16 in the parking lot of a liquor store in the 600 block of Villa Street, and police identified them after a witness posted a video of the fight on YouTube.

타 Juan N. Cortez-Nava, 43, of the 200 block of Triggs Avenue, Elgin, was charged with identity theft after he used someone else’s name, Social Security number and date of birth to set up a ComEd account, according to a police report. The victim received $487.40 in bills from a collection agency.

타 A Passport 9500ix radar detector was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle between 1 p.m. Sept. 15 and 6 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 42W800 block of Robin Lane, Hampshire, according to a sheriff’s report.

타 A white 20-foot Freedom FD83 trailer belonging to Fox Valley Church was stolen between noon Sept. 16 and 2 p.m. Saturday in the 16N200 block of Brier Hill Road, Hampshire, according to a sheriff’s report.
