Chicago mayor to appear on Food Network
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is set to make another television appearance with his debut on the Food Network.
The episode of “The Great Food Truck Race” airs Sunday evening. It was taped in June when the show filmed in Chicago.
The show features food truck operators on a selling competition as they travel to several cities. The winner gets a food truck to start a business.
Emanuel will play a key role with the host Tyler Florence.
Officials say Chicago has more than 120 food trucks. The city recently changed rules allowing food to be cooked on board and nearly two dozen trucks do so.
Earlier this month, Emanuel appeared on the “Late Show with David Letterman” to talk about a documentary on former White House chiefs of staff.
