Four charged in weekend Naperville car burglaries

Four people, including a 76-year-old man, were arrested over the weekend and charged in connection with several car burglaries, Naperville police said Monday.

Anatoliy Kulagin, 76, of the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Friday after police responded to a call of a man attempting to get into several vehicles in a parking lot on the 1000 block of Mill Street.

Kulagin faces misdemeanor charges of attempted theft and attempted criminal trespass to motor vehicles.

Darious Parnell, 18, of the 2900 block of Burlington in Lisle, and two male juveniles also were charged with felony burglary to motor vehicles at 12:45 a.m. Sunday on the 1300 block of Crabapple Court. Police say the three broke into five vehicles before a witness saw them and called police.
