Tremulis to play solo concert in Crystal Lake

In a rare appearance, Nicholas Tremulis comes to Crystal Lake at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 for a solo concert at The Listening Room at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in Crystal Lake. Tickets are $15.

Tremulis' music is ever changing, and you never know what to expect from this blues-influenced musician. He can be poetic one minute and raging rock and roll the next. Tremulis has played with a wide array of greats, from Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones to Maceo Parker of the James Brown band.

Tremulis also has worked, played and recorded with Billy Corgan, Bonnie Raitt, Rick Danko, Marianne Faithfull and beat poet Gregory Corso, to name but a few.

Longtime friend of 50 years, Roger Reupert, house manager of the Listening Room, says, “Nick is truly an original in every sense of the word, and always searching to go beyond what he's done before”.
