Vernon Hills 3, North Chicago 3: The Cougars couldn't protect a 3-1 halftime lead against the host Warhawks and settled for a draw in the North Suburban Prairie contest.

"We have some talent but lack the aggressive nature up top so far this year," Vernon Hills coach Mike McCaulou said. "We played well the first half but made way too many mental mistakes in the game. We have to play an entire 80 (minutes) to be a quality team."

Jonny Madrid and Joey Mudd also scored for Grayslake Central. Madrid, Jackson Frey and Alex Stickler had assists.
