Herrera’s 4-goal effort leads Maine West

Nelson Herrera knocked in 4 goals as Alonso Guerrero added a goal and 3 assists as host Maine West defeated Northridge Prep 6-2 on Saturday afternoon in nonconference play. Maine West improved to 6-3-1 this season.

Hoffman Estates 2, York 1: The host Hawks scored twice in the second half to pick up a nonconference goal. Mynor Sarti had the first goal, unassisted, and Mark Hauser had the second, with an assist from Misael Vargas.

St. Viator 5, Oswego 0: Ethan Wolf scored the first 2 goals for the Lions, both times assisted by Kevin McMahon, as St. Viator earned a shutout win. Spencer Moore also had a goal and an assist for the Lions.

Rolling Meadows 3, CL South 0: Kou Glaser, Sal D’Acquisto and Mike D’Acquisto scored to help the host Mustangs to a nonconference victory.
