Mount Prospect holding fishing derby Saturday
The Mount Prospect Park District is holding a recreational fishing derby for youngsters age 4 to 14 from 6 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Robert T. Jackson Clearwater Park.
The fishing hole will be stocked with bluegill and catfish sure to be hungry for a breakfast of tasty worms.
The fee is $7 per child for residents and $12 for nonresidents. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Bait will be provided, but contestants must bring rod, reel and tackle.
