Only minor injuries were reported in a high rise fire on the 3900 block of Triumvera Drive in Glenview. People in the home had to be rescue via a ladder truck during the early morning blaze. The fire remains under investigation.
Police in Evanston are on the scene of a possible shooting on Leland Avenue, just north of Church Street. No details have emerged from police regarding the situation. More later.

A Cook County judge yesterday sentenced Randall Behning to 36 years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl. Behning was found guilty of multiple counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, sexual abuse, child pornography and solicitation. His victim testified that his abuse continued on for 2½ years. A disagreement between a Villa Park trustee and his neighbors that led to disorderly conduct charges against Trustee Robert Taglia didn't go as the village representative said, a lawyer for his neighbors said. The dispute happened Friday evening, according to court records. Full story.
