Wauconda Fire District open house Sept. 21

The Wauconda Fire District will host its annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Station One, 109 West Liberty St., Wauconda.

The event will feature emergency vehicle displays, special team demonstrations, live fire, vehicle extrication and fire extinguisher demonstrations, blood pressure screenings and interactive displays. Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks will be available and there will be a free raffle every half-hour. There also will be a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
