About half of the laid-off employees are nurses and certified nursing aides.

Parent company Capital Senior Living ILM-B Inc. filed notice with the last week that it would close its skilled nursing facility by Nov. 4.

Capital says it will still operate its independent living and assisted living facilities.

Town Centre's website says it offers apartments for seniors along with an activity center, a salon and exercise classes.
