Intoxicated care worker charged with neglect

MADISON, Wis. — A nursing assistant accused of being drunk while working at a Madison care home is charged with neglect.

A criminal complaint says 41-year-old Retha Moore, of New Berlin, admitted drinking vodka at work when she was told a co-worker had taken a cellphone video of her while she was intoxicated at Pine View Living in Madison. There were three elderly residents in her care at the time.

The State Journal says Moore is charged with three counts of neglect of an elder adult at risk. She’s due in court in two weeks.
