Elgin

Ÿ James M. Luecke, 48, who is homeless, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, according to a police report. Officers responded to a call at 3:30 p.m. about intoxicated individuals on the bike path near National Street and Times Square, police said. Luecke is accused of being belligerent with the officer and threatening to hurt him. His bail was set at $7,500, and his next court date is Sept. 16.

Ÿ Kathleen M. Koth, 42, of the 0-100 block of South Commonwealth Avenue, Elgin, was charged Wednesday with theft, according to a police report. Koth, who worked in finance for Butera Markets, is accused of charging $2,800 on her work credit card between January and August, including gas purchases and monthly cellphone payments, police said. Koth’s bail was set at $7,500, and her next court date is Sept. 26.

East Dundee

Ÿ Ebony M. Brown, 22, of the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue, Chicago, was charged with issuing or delivering a forged document after police say she tried to cash a forged check at the East Dundee Walmart in August. Police said Brown made the check out for $4,890.30. Her bail was set at $3,000, and her next court date is Sept. 13 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
